Islam honors all parents

Respecting and caring for your parents is one of the main Islamic Ethics. Islam enjoins people to be dutiful and kind to their parents no matter what they do. Moreover, one of the forms of God’s worship is obeying our parents’ orders and refraining from what they ask us not to do.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no servant who conceals the faults of another servant in this worldly life, except that Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection." [Muslim].

Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is pleased with Allah as their Lord, with Islam as their religion, and with Muhammad as their Messenger, Paradise is guaranteed for him." [Muslim].

Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you is a real believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.''  [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Injustice will be excessive darkness on the Day of Judgment.’" [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

“Do you know what backbiting is?”

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do you know what backbiting is?” They (the Companions) said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said: “It is to say of your brother what he dislikes.” It was said: “What do you think if what I say of my brother is true?” He said: “If what you say of him is true, then you have backbitten him; if not, then you have slandered him.” (Muslim).

Islam is the religion of infinite chances

Humans are created imperfect and weak. Thus, we all do mistakes and commit sins. Islam teaches us that it is okay to sin, but it is not okay to insist on sinning. It encourages people to always ask for forgiveness from God, the Merciful, who is always near to those who want to redeem themselves.
